    I try to look for the carb count but it's not always that simple, but it is scary when you see the numbers, I looked at yogurts awhile back & now I will only get the low fat ones from Iceland they have almost half the sugar of "superior" low fat/diet versions- 6g compared to 14+g

    Just to add my thoughts to this, I also have a similar pain on & off during the day, I have to take extra enzymes & digestion medication when I eat- I'm douled up in agony if I don't so make an appointment with your GP & get this investiated good luck x

    Like others have posted, I now know that I can ditch the low cal diet for a low carb one which is much simpler to manage. We well aware of the downside but for now I going to grow old disgracefully!!

    Hi, I've had a similarprob with the hospital DN so I went to my GP- the softie in the practice & said I'd like to change hospitals, she was great & now I go to another hos near by with great staff. My GPs are really good SO FAR -13 months from diagnosis. So well done MYs

    huge conflict with dietician

    when I went to see the DN she was happy with me being on low carbs - my bg is geneally less than 7, she wished all her patients could stay a level as me. My HbA1c was less than 5 so they suggested that I should be a bit kinder to myself !! Still can't bring myself to that yet, but I'll keep...

    denied treatments at health spa

    I think I must strike lucky, my Drs think it's ok for me to go for spa days- it's a case great if it makes you feel better & please can I come, the spas we go to "so far" haven't batted an eye lid about my type 1 even at Celtic Manor, but I must admit I usually do get a spike by bed time!
