Where can i buy an Insulin Pump?

Consumables for the pump approx £250 a month, the pump around £3000 to £4000. If you self fund I'm afraid you have to buy everything. These figures are a few years out of date as it's what I paid for my daughter Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

Really Annoyed...And more than a little scared.

The part about foods you haven't yet ate nor likely too confused me. As a T1 you can eat anything you like. Carb counting allows this. I would push for a DAFNE course. Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    Low iron levels

It's the light headed whoosh faint feeling that really bothers me, it's constant, the headaches and breathlessness and the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak lol. I'm currently sleeping 16 hours a day, I have infusion and B12 booked for Tuesday, this time next week I'll feel like Wonder...

    Hand washing

I've done my own tests on this and any alcohol gel/wipes are out by a good 2 points. I use fragrance free baby wipes if I can't wash my hands. I do use alcohol wipes though to wipe my skin before injecting just to make sure I'm 'clinically' clean, I also wipe over the top of my vial before...

    Low iron levels

Yes, I have pernicious anaemia and I can't absorb folate. I am always anaemic, I have iron infusions, vitamin B12 injections and folate tablets daily. The iron just doesn't absorb through diet or vitamins, to be honest it makes me feel fairly rotten and my body definitely knows when I'm due the...

    Type 1/Diet

Danny I eat what I want when I want, I carb count and cover. I'm not saying I eat rubbish all the time but I have my moments, I home cook and some days are virtually carb free, others are carb heavy. If I fancy junk food, I'll have it, I refuse to believe people who say they are never naughty...

Too fat to be a type 1?!

So which are you T1 or T2? I think the way you've been treated is really awful. Glad you've found a good team. Btw, I have seen kids as young as 9 with T2 and adults as old as 45 newly diagnosed with T1. Sent from the Diabetes Forum App
