Hi everyone,

Latest blood results shows it’s now 37.
My GP said I’ve reversed type 2 D.

Reversing diabetes is a term used to describe interventions that reduce dependency on type 2 diabetes medications, effectively reversing the progression of the illness. With time and dedication, type 2 diabetes can be reversed and the results can be very rewarding with less tiredness and better...

so I recently bought Michael Mosleys blood sugar diet book and find it very interesting and deciding to give it go.
My blood sugar levels have been normal for nearly 5 weeks now (was diagnosed in March)...but I’m rather interested about the visceral fat around the organs, that if we get rid of...

how long have you been in remission for? Has it been harder than you thought to maintain normal blood glucose levels?
Has your diet slightly changed since going into remission (are you more strict with your diet or can be a tiny bit flexible)
From doing a lot of research I’ve read that lentils, beans and pulses are better carbs as it has high fibre which doesn’t spike blood sugars, I saw at work we do a red lentil fussili, all it contains is red lentils and water and has 19g protein per portion, 44g carbs, 0.9g fat...

Carrying on from my last post about changes after diagnosis, I went in for my first BG test and review since diagnosis of T2 in October, I was first diagnosed with a hba1c reading of 49. My results have come back with a reduced reading of 41, happy girl, woohoo!

I guess this question is for those who have controlled bg or as some would say ‘reversed’ or ‘in remission’
For those who lost quite a bit of weight through diet and exercise did you insulin sensitivity increase?
Are you able to eat more carbohydrates than before? I know everyone with...

Hi,
I'm doing a diet and regular (and vigorous) exercise 6 - 7 times a week. Already lost 3+ stones.
I expect my doctor to take me off Metformin (2x 500mg / day) soon - even before my diet and weight loss the HbA1c was 49 - 50 and I'm hoping that it will be much lower than that now (I'll go for...

I'm classing myself as in remission as my last hba1c was 41. Its in the 'normal' range (under 42). I would not class it as that if it was over 41 though.
As far as im aware Professor Roy Taylor, Dr David unwin and virta health define reversed/remission as sub 48.
I'm just wondering what...
The Newcastle diet that helps reverse Typ2Diabetes for some people. Is getting a LOT of press - some of it good - some of it bad. As I was newly diagnosed in November 2017 I am wondering what the general thoughts are about this?
Does it work? Do you know anyone who has made it work.
Or is...
