I am impressed

I thought I would never ever get any better readings than 6's but here I am getting 4's

this is the first time ever!

I wanted to share because no matter how impossible that goal might seem, you will get there if you do not give us

I was diagnosed in October with blood glucose of 11.3

since then I lost 17 Kilograms in weight

I am eating around 20 grams of carbohydrates a day

Me too initforlove, I got my first <5 reading today just before tea time. I was astounded.

Then I celebrated with a snickers... :D A hour later it was up again to 6.6. I'll test again in another hour. Hey it's what Dr Bernstein recommends you to do at the start to see what foods to eliminate!

Well done, Big Congratulations.

But how do you manage just 20g of carbs, what diet have u followed? Do you get hungry or tired?

Would love to have such good results, if you have any tips would be very grateful. :D

Congratulations! I had a 4.9, just once, the only four I've ever had so far and I remember it just felt amazing!! So well done to you, may it be the first of many :)

I'm VLC too, so let's hope it's a good omen for me :)

Have a look at Viv's Modified Atkins Diet, which is a sticky thread on the Low-carb section of the forum. It works for me. If I go over about 50g daily my BGs go up; if i go over 70g daily i start to put on weight!

I've lost over 60lb so far (3 years; I'm taking it slowly), and my lipid profile, BP and BGs are all fine. Last HbA1c 5.4.
