So 2 weeks ago i was diagnosed with type 1. I am sick of doing 10+ pricks per day, so have looked into getting a dexcom g4. Still have a few questions, hopefully you can help! Fist of all i live in the uk and if i buy from a place called advanced therapeuitcs, itll cost £975 for receiver and transmitter, and £250 for 4 sensors. Does anyone know where/how i could get it cheaper? Also is it uncomfortable to wear/sleep in? Obviously £1000+ is alot, is it worth it? Would you recommend? Also iveonly had diabetes for 2 weeks, is it too early ro get one? Thanks,

You cannot get it cheaper from anywhere else.

I would say its too early - give it at least 6 months before you try a CGM.

Also you need to be carb counting well before you move to CGM, this will help you use the results.

Have you been put on a carb counting course yet ?, ask your DSN to get on one if not.
