A little confused about numbers.

I have seen people posting their results and just wondered why some are decimals like 5.5, 6.2 and others are whole numbers like 52, 60.
Are there two different ways of reading it?
I am probably being a bit dense but I just can't figure it out!

It is the different measurement units and very confusing.

The HbA1c measurement units changed in (I think 2011) but some doctors/people are still on the old one. The new one is measured in mmol/mol and will result in a figure like 59. The old one was measured in a percentage and will result in a figure like 7.5%. Our meters and ordinary glucose tests at the surgery are measure in mmol/l and result in a figure like 9.4mmol/l

This is the converter http://www.diabetes.co.uk/hba1c-units-converter.html

To make matters much worse, some other countries measure in mg/dl and result in a figure like 130. (Americans and others) There is a converter for this here http://www.soc-bdr.org/rds/authors/...version_glucose_mg_dl_to_mmol_l/index_en.html

It would help enormously if people would post the measurement units alongside the numbers!
