I am 27 yr old male from India and I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 13 and ever since I am on following insulin.

Human actrapid - 14 units(before breakfast, before lunch and before dinner)
Human insulatard - 24 units(before bedtime).

My glucose levels are very under fair control with HbA1c was 6.7 when I checked around 6 months ago. Apart from random hypoglycemia symptoms which I guess is common in type 1 patients, I didn't had any other complications.

However in the last week of April, I was infected with mild Covid-19 and recovered from it at home with anti viral drugs. I am completely recovered in 10 days. Now from the last 3 days(1 week after recovery), I faced hyperglycemic symptoms and when checked my blood sugars were extremely high even with insulin. When checked randomly, my blood sugars were 393 mg/dl. I started increasing my dosage of insulin and even with a 70% increase in my dose of insulin, I could bring down my levels to only 220 mg/dl. As my regular doctor is infected with covid and he is not taking consultations, I consulted another specialist with around 20 yr of experience as diabetologist. He asked me to stop my current medication and start the new medication that he prescribed which is as follows.

Fiasp - 14 units(before breakfast and before dinner)
Ryzodeg - 16 units (before lunch)
Galvus Met 50/500mg tablet (After lunch)

I started using these from the last 2 days I couldn't see any improvement in the blood sugars. They are still very well above 300 mg/dl.

When asked the doctor, he is saying that it may take 15-20 days with this medication to get things under control.

I want to consult another specialist, but as they say 'Too many cooks spoil the soup' , I am in sort of dilemma.

Can any expert or senior here confirm if I am going in the right direction or have any suggestion from me?
