Wondered if anyone uses this sugar tester. It is so cool. It tells you how much insulin to give based on what carbs you've eaten, and how much correction you might need. But also, and this is important for me, if you need more insulin in the mornings to what you need in the afternoons (your carb to insulin ratio is higher at different times of day) it takes this into account.

Wondered if anyone else uses this.

Hello .

I use this meter too ...
I have found it to be AMAZING and love it

It can transfer/track/store so much accurate information and can warn you of any
risks with your 'own' pre-set Hyper or Hypo ranges too .

Here is another thread where we discuss this meter in the posts .

Hope it can help you further .

Anna .

Hello
I have just started on it, about 3 weeks ago. I love it but it took a while to trust it. I now double check it against my gut instinct and so far, it has been right!

How long have you been using it?

I've actually has the tester for a while. Must be at least 6 months. But I wasn't told what it did or anything. So I just used it as a normal tester.

I got a new diabetic nurse, and she got me to go to a training event for the tester. When I got there I realised that I wasn't even given all the information. The box it came in was huge. I'd just been given the tester. She set it all up for me, and I can't believe I missed out on this for so long. It's amazing.

I keep feeling like I'm not giving myself enough insulin though. But that's because up until now I've unknowingly been overdosing on insulin. So it's taking some getting used to. But I haven't gone low all day. This is the first day in months I haven't had a hypo.

I've got my training for this next week in preparation for my pump. I'm so excited, from all the reviews I've read it sounds like a great meter :)

i have one.. dont use it anymore.. but it is a very well built meter

a little large for my liking, and after a while i was better able to calculate my insulin in my head, it just took longer on the meter

but was very handy when starting out
