Greedy Humans.....greedy animals I don't mind. I do like meat and fish but choose not to eat it!
Sue Townsend can talk us through her live-in kitchen with ease, but for the last 10 years or so she's been unable to see it in its full glory. Having been registered blind after a condition related to her diabetes impaired her sight, the author has a photographic image in her mind of what the room looks like and seems genuinely delighted to be reminded of an object she's neglected in her memory.

I believe it's retinopathy which took Sue Townsend's sight. she did say somewhere that after diagnosis of T2 she didn't take proper care of herself.

Very sad. Unfortunately, I believe that although retinopathy risk can be much minimised by good diabetes control it can still occur.

I would hate for anyone who has tried to control their diabetes and has retinopathy to think that they are somehow at fault.

Terribly sad.
I don't believe any of us could say " I will never be affected as I have control of my levels"
One week is a long time in the Diabetes world.
Things change and there may be new wars to fight in the future.
