I am sitting in the window watching the squirrel collecting peanuts from the feeders and industriously burying them all over the lawn. :roll: :roll: Coming along behind him is a magpie, equally industriously digging them up and scoffing them :lol: :lol: Fortunately for Tufty, there will be an adequate supply over the winter period :) .

soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
What a joy to have our wild friends to watch!
My mum phoned me the other day to tell me that she'd got a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker on her bird feeder.
I'm glad I thought of it for one birthday present to her. She's over 90 and gets so much pleasure from it.

Hana, I fully understand how much pleasure your mother gets from her bird feeder, I would be lost without all of mine. The farm next to us held a shoot the other day, not something I approve of too be honest. :evil: As a result we now have a goodly number of pheasants who have gained sanctuary here :D :D and they are a permanent fixture at the ground feeding troughs! I have upped my order of poultry corn! :lol: :lol:
