hello,

I noticed a small air bubble in my flexpen this morning. I have tried to expel it without success ( while the pen is needle end down for an injection the air bubble floats to the top of the chamber )

what should I do ? could this be dangerous, perhaps as the insulin gets to a lower level?

thanks,

nannoo

Mine always have an air bubble in them, has never bothered me. Think air is only a proplem when injecting into a vein.

To expel the air bubble, prime the pen with the needle pointing upwards. It may take 2 or 3 attempts to clear the air, but it will work.
The real problem with air in the cartridge is that it effectively reduces the pressure needed to deliver a full dose and the result can often mean the pen 'drips' after use.

All the best,

fergus
