Animas Sports & Exercise Weekend - 11-13 May

    Animas, makers of the Animas Vibe insulin pump, is hosting a Sports & Exercise Weekend

    The weekend takes place at Loughborough University on the 11th, 12th and 13th May 2012.

    The event will be chaired by Dr Ian Gallen, a Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist. Dr Gallen will give a presentation on how to improve performance and control blood glucose whilst exercising.

    Take part in a number of exercise workshops including:
    • Football
      Cycling (Gym based)
      Fitness (Gym based)
    Meet and discuss training with other people with type 1 diabetes and receive guidance from healthcare professionals.

    The event's motivational speaker will be Claire Duncan who has taken part in Iron Man competitions and has swam the English Channel and with Type 1 diabetes.
