Hello, my name is Stuart and I am a type 1 diabetic. Four and a bit years since the diagnosis and I am going strong, very active (apart from last month - injured!) and very stable Hb.a.1..a.c..a. you know what I mean.... since diagnosis.

Been spending more and more time online looking at diabetes as Diabetes UK seems to be hell bent on running the NHS down. I can't complain about my treatment one bit. Am I lucky or is that the norm? Depends who you listen to.

Welcome to the forum Stuart. I've just responded to your other post about running. My husband has type 1 and runs about 30 - 40 miles a week. He has run a few half marathons this year and did the London Marathon this year too! if you have any specific questions about running then feel free to PM me and I can ask my husband.

Thank you very much! I have been getting into the longer distances this year so it's nice to know there is someone out there doing it that I can tap for info! I have applied for London next year.
