Specifically that include being able to look up carbs?

I have the diabetes uk one but as I'm just embarking on carb counting it would be useful to have it all in one app?

Any recommendations?

Thanks,
Cressida

MyFitnessPal ( free ) or Carbs & Cals ( approx £4 but we'll worth it ). Myfitnesspal can track exercise and read bar codes whilst carbs & Cals is great visually as it shows pics of different sizes of food portions.

Thanks Mo.... Is there one that includes all the diabetic stuff aswell as being able to look up carbs that you would recommend?

Not really, sorry. I've tried many but ended up deleting them as they promise lots but usually the food item you want isn't listed or whatever. I use the apps for carbs and keep a diary for BG levels etc. A lot of the apps offer free versions ( with ads ) so you may be better off trying a few and see if there's one you like ? As for carb databases though, the 2 I've mentioned are probably the best.

Fair enough. Thanks for your help.

Kind regards,

Sorry, there may be apps out there that combine carbs & diabetes stuff, just not any that I know of. I made it sound like there just aren't any full stop lol ! Hopefully someone else may help

For a sophisticated bolus wizard that will also help calculate the correct carb ratio and basal too, have a look at ManageBGL. Its a website and an app for Apple and Android

Iv started using dario they make a meter now bit you can just use the app on its own and enter readings and also has a carb section and you can search threw a massive selection of fast food and ready meals etc and tells you carb amount! The meter is really good as we'll plugs into phone and is tiny!

The one I use is MyNetDiary Diabetes as this can track food / carbs, exercise, meds and blood sugar. I started out with MyNetDiary Pro though, so although they are both separate apps by the same company, all of the food & exercise data can be seen by both.
