Last night I went to bed at 10pm with a bs reading of 12.2. I woke with a hypo at 11.45pm my bs was 3.3. I take 22 units of lantus before bed. I have a bad memory and can't remember now if I may have used novorapid instead, but would this of happened if I had? Any comments appreciated.

Hi,
The result of too much Novorapid would indeed reduce your BS fairly quickly and induce a hypo a couple of hours after the injection. What are your BS levels today? I would imagine that if you took the wrong insulin, after the initial hypo, you would be running higher levels during the day today as you will not have any long acting (basal) insulin as a background.
A few months ago I did the same thing, having 30 units of Novorapid instead of Levemir (the equivalent to your Lantus). I sorted the hypo and then I was high by the following morning. Hopefully you'll be OK today and all will be back on track by tomorrow, following the correct injection this evening.

Would you be able to check your current stock and work out how much should be left as an answer from the results?
