Anyone had shingles vaccine

Due to have the vac soon but wonder if any side effects and does it affect diabetes control
 
Had the shingles jab last November at the same time as I had the flu' jab. Didn't notice any side-effects.
 
Thanks for the reminder! I'm on Aciclovir twice a day for recurring shingles and I was told when I was first put on it that if it works then I could have the vaccine. Don't remember why I couldn't have it straight away, but I've been on it well over a year now with no further attacks - I used to get it every 6 weeks or so!
So I've got to see my new doctor and get that sorted ;)
