Dear all

I just wonder if large swings in TDD are common when we have to travel to a different country. I mean, do we tend to have TDD varied across countries when we have to travel? I was diagnosed in Vietnam and was on MDI then. I had to travel to Singapore later for pump therapy and now I am back to Vietnam with the pump. My TDD doesn't look very consistent to me:
- My TDD before insulin pump therapy: about 38u (14u Lantus/24u Novorapid)
- My TDD before leaving Singapore: about 23u
- My TDD now (in VN): currently about 44u

Looking at these numbers making me confused:
- My TDD varied a lot when I had to move from one country to another
- The basal doses/boluse doses ratio of 14u Lantus/24u Novorapid when I was on MDI just doesn't look right to me now, as basal rates should make up half of the TDD.

-Do you have the same experience of varied TDD like mine?
-What would you suggest my daily basal dose would be if I had to switch back to MDI if my pump failed. Should I go 14u or 22u (or 1/2 of the current 44u)?

Thanks so much for your help!
