Do the Big Blue test on World Diabetes Day November 14th and see the effect of just 14 mins of exercise on your glucose levels


Last year I joined in with this and recorded the results when people posted them on another forum.
14 minutes was enough to cause a big fall in most peoples glucose levels

123 people with diabetes posted results
97 people's blood glucose levels fell. The average fall was 25.5mg/dl (1.41mmol/l)
23 peoples blood glucose levels rose. The average rise was 11.6mg/dl(0.64 mmol)/l

This year it's a bit more organised and you can input your results on the website above but it would be great if as many people as possible could do it and record their results on here.

The fact that video exists must mean there are children who simply don't get the insulin they need :(

Sad this is necessary but not everyone can get the drugs they need to live so very important!

Watched the vid & done the test too but only down by 0.2mmol after 14mins of weights. Probably due to the control & exercise I already do.
 
According to the website there were 1039 people who did the Big blue test with an average drop of 18mg/dl (1mmol)
I did 14 min of running about 1 and a half hours after eating so insulin was still active. Blood glucose dropped from 6.5 to 4.3 so I had to take some dextrose to don the next 40min of my run... but thats normal!
Anyone else do it?
