Has anyone experienced blocked needles? I was prescribed CarePoint which worked really well. When they changed the brand to Insupen I was getting blockages quite frequently thus using more needles and insulin.

Liquorice and aniseed (especially the tracer I have to drink in hospital before a CT scan - yuk!)
Hi @drawbridge35

I live in Stockport and every few years they change my needle prescription to save a few pence, although nothing else changes, so it does seems penny pinching. Anyway, I’m currently on CarePoint and don’t find them that great - perhaps 1 in every two boxes blocks half way through an injection I.e. after I’ve already tested it via an “air shot” which is extremely frustrating.

Compared to the “good old days” of totally reliable BD micro needles with their fancy painless, five-point bevelled points
