Hi - what could cause blurry vision that comes and goes?

I'm 52, not diabetic (yet), insulin resistant (self diagnosed from 6 hour GTT).

It doesnt appear to be related to hydration though.

The unusual changes in blood sugar levels resulting from diabetes can affect the lens inside the eye, especially when diabetes is uncontrolled. This can result in blurring of vision which comes and goes over the day, depending on your blood sugar levels.

I would get yourself off to your GP

If your are diagnosed with diabetes you will be sent for eye checks

You may also be given medication to help control your diabetes if you have it ?

I'm Definitely not diabetic, though. Blood tests always show OK (I have a meter...)

I had eye checks a short while ago - they came up with the very beginnings of cataracts, but nothing else.
