Hello!

Im just wondering are there any diabetic bodybuilders/weight trainers on? Ive been weight training for a while now and have been diabetic nearly 4years. Just wanting to know if theres anyone I can share my diet with :)

Heres my diet:
7:30am - 1 bowl of porrige /2scoops of whey (protein powder)
10:30am - piece of fruit / mattesons chicken bites
12:30pm - 2 tuna sandwhiches and an apple
3:30pm - 2 scoops of whey and 1 banana
6:00pm - Either chicken/beef/fish with either cous cous, noodles, rice
9pm: - 2 scrambled eggs on 1 piece of toast
10:30pm (if im still awake) - 2 scoops of whey and 1 hand full of almonds

Hi,

Im intrested in your diet :D . I have been a type one diabetic for almost eight years now and cant seem to put any weight on! My problem is, is that with the insulin im on im not really alowed to snack between the meals. I wanted to keep fit and have started on the protein shakes. Is there anything you can suggest i do?

You want to put on muscle? I take it you can't snack in between meals due to the carbs? If this is correct try to eat things like chicken in between meals as this is high in protein and low in carbs therefore you do not need to worry about insulin :D
