I am the French mother of a 12 yo Australian child with type 1 diabetes! Yes, I am writing from down under in Australia, where I have found a price Charming who made me an offer I could not refuse! Our child was diagnosed at the age of 5, and since then, life has changed a lot for us as parents. After an initial period of dispair and anxiety, we progressively went back on track and are now managing well, with some unavoidable difficult times here and then. I am keen to join this group and contribute with a very positive attitude, a wish to ask questions and a strong desire to share experiences. I am living in a rural area which is quite remote, and feel isolated sometimes. Being a fruit producer fills my days rapidely, so you will find me at odd hours on this site! I am particularly interested in learning about parenting skills of children with a such a condition as T1D, and would value sharing some journey's learning with you. Cheers to all!
