Carb to Insulin Ratio

Just wanted to check something out with "the experts" related to the carb to insulin ratio.

I take novorapid and in the mornings and for 20g carb I take 5 units and after 2 hours my BG is near enough what it was before breakfast. It does vary throughout the day but its not far off 1 unit of insulin to 4g carb and this is what I base my doses on.

This seems exceptionally low, as the average seems to be about 1 unit to 10g. So I wonder if it means that novorapid doesn't suit me (alhough 1 unit of novorapid can bring my BG down between
3 and 4 points so it is effective) or its just the way my body reacts to carbs.

What do people think?

Crowds. Being high. Being Hypo.
just becuase you take more than "most" it doesn't mean it's the wrong insulin for you.

We are all different... some take hardly any at all... 1unit for every 20g of carbs!!

I take 1u to 12g.

If it's working for you, then carry on with what you are doing mate.
