Hi

I am looking to reduce my Cholesterol levels as per my doctors recommendations (and he has given me Cholesterol tablets to help me) and wondered if I was eating more oily fish would this help so I could get off some of these pills, as I do not eat much fish (once a month from the fish and chip shop) or should I take cod liver oil capsules to help.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Michael

With respect, as I am a vegetarian, I would like to say that eating fish or fish liver tablets are not the only way to reduce cholesterol ... Look at a low carb high fat diet .. It reduced my levels . I don't eat any fish or slaughter house products

You should include fish such as tuna, mackerel, salmon, herrings in your diet as a good source of oily fish, can't say for certain if CLO capsules work or not but I've taken them for the last 25 years (now take it in liquid form) and don't have any issues with cholesterol.

I'm type 1 btw but it makes no difference in answering your question.
