AMF hI having been to Mombassa a couple of years back it can get really hot although i dont suppose the same will be true up Mt Kenya.
If you havnt already get your self a Frio pouch . Simply google Frio and you will find them. They work by imersing in water until the crystals turn to a Gel. The evaporation of moisture is what keeps them cool for up to 24 hours - then simply re immerse.
Above all enjoy the experience its a wonderfull place

I've been to Kenya years ago. We were fine in Nairobi and when we were at the lodges. We went to the beach and ALL ie 30 odd people got severe diarrhea.
When I went to India 28/30 folk got diarrhea. The only ones who didn't were a couple who had an Indian GP who knew all about it and gave them some antibiotics. Yes. I don't know what!
My advice: Bring lots of toilet paper, immodium, oral rehydration sachets, possibly codeine.
thanks everyone.
It's a scout group/church group and we are doing a mix of things sucj as painting a school, meeting local scouts and school kids, visitinga hospital and the climb and a game park.
HAve a frio pack.
By the way, don't put one of those in a fridge...it gets EVEN colder. I did in Antigua and my insulin froze!!! Luckily the salads were good and it was near the end of the holiday.
