Common Colds

For the past few days I've been fighting off a cold. I've not been taking any of the medications for it as I don't believe any of them actually work.
I'm sure I've read on here that colds can raise the BG level but this week I've been going into the lower numbers too often. By lower numbers I mean into the 3's and last night a 2.6.

Anyone else have similar readings with a cold?

What medication do you use for the diabetes?
colds don't always raise BG

2000mg Metformin and 320mg Gliclazide. Thats daily.
I know Gliclazide can take me low, but this week with a cold as well. :(

Are you eating normally and doing the normal amount of exercise ?

You need masses of carbs with those doses of Gliclazide.
If you haven't been eating much, because you feel lousy, that would be enough to drop your BG.
