Hi all

I am a little concerned about the pins and needles i have constantly in my right foot my levels have been high for a while my GP has not said anything about it all he is worried about is if i have heart attack they have upped my tablets to two in the morning and two in the evening..

Thanks

Chris.

Chris,

Go back to your gp and tell him/her that the discomfort in your toes are causing you concern and want a examination done, pins and needles anywhere in the body should not be ignored and it is their responsibility to investigate the cause.

Elevated and prolonged blood glucose can cause these symptoms in the extremities such as the toes, but it can also be many other things and not necessarily diabetes related, so insist on a examination.
