I noticed on another thread that a forum member whose posts I always find very helpful remarked that statins reduce CoQ10 in the body and a supplement should be taken. As I'm on statins for cardio reasons, and my GP and surgeon have generally been monitoring things carefully and sympathetically, I'm surprised that they have not mentioned this.
I note from a bit of internet browsing that while it seems that CoQ10 supplements do not have adverse effects except in very large quantities, its positive effects have also not been verified by large-scale studies.
Does anyone know of particular case-studies/papers/references that I could check on this?
