YES, that was interesting indeed! I used to suffer with that..though I didn't know what it was. It was happening during my pre-diabetes stage. I often fell on sleep in work in back room..only to nudged up by work mates to see a client that had just arrived...'ooops'. I was lucky live very close to work so in lunch hour I would rush to home, set alarm, have something to eat and find myself waking up for that alarm clock that I had set on other side of the room. Though I did few times woke up for phone call from boss asking 'if I would be returning back to work that day..?'Thought I'd post this for those interested:

Does it only affect women?
Low carb, high protein, and unrefined carbohydrates such as quinoa, wholewheat pasta or rice.
I wouldn't have thought that was entirely correct?
Of course not, I have the condition and so do other members.
It is not as prevalent among males.

Not being picky but for most RH ers, carbs are carbs no matter the label.
Complex are as bad as refined.
Wholemeal is as bad as bleached.
Any type of rice is bad, any type of carb, despite being slower in reaction will have the same effect.
For example, if you could get very low carb wheat, (you can't) you could eat half a slice. So if that affects you but not as much, it will still do the damage.
So why bother?
I can have a few baked beans, about twelve after straining the sauce, heating then reheating in the microwave. Not to get a spike, any more and bingo, spike!
You can't totally get away from them, but you have to personally experience and experiment with all types of foods to see what effect they have.
And yes! I'm weird!
