Been prompted to post by my wife... but part of me would like to know the answer in any case  Whilst I have still to see my GP, I'm an early diagnosed Type 2 with a pre-GTT Bg of 9.7. Since getting my blood monitor from the practice nurse, I've been testing, testing, testing just like advised.. and watching my carbs. So, other than my first morning test on waking... which has been between 9.2 (rice the night before) and 6.1 (ave. 7.0)... I thought I was doing OK.
However, during the day my pre-meal Bg's have been between 4.2 and 7.6 (ave. 5.3), and 2 hour post meal readings between 4.3 and 8.7 (ave. 6.0)... which given we're only 11 days in, seem on the face of it quite good... but I'd welcome any thoughts.
Is this apparent roller coaster, albeit it without some of the majestic highs and lows achieved by others on the forum, 'normal'... or should I be aiming to iron out the peaks and troughs more?
