My brother in-law has been diagnosed with DI, and has been given desmopressin.

When he takes it after 3-4 days his swells up in his hands and face, then he comes off them his body reduces in swelling but the thirst comes back.

The doctors he's under dont seem to have any real experince in this field and im looking for some help/advice for him, this has been ongoing for over 18months now. Anyone with help/info plase mail me [email protected]

regards matthew

Diabetes insipidus is very very different to diabetes mellitus. I doubt there will be much experience or help from this site. Sorry.

Matthew,
If you Google "Diabetes Insipidus" you will find a huge amount of information on it. Wikipedia is particularly informative.
