Hi im 11 and i'v had diabetes since i was 5. I wrote this poem 4 my mum:
The unseen pain
As the needle pierces my skin
I keep a straight face
Though the pain is unbearable
I smile
I show no fear
Though i am immersed in it
Everyone smiles at me
Never knowing
Never seeing my pain
Never feeling my pain
As my leg throbs
I count to 10
Every second feeling like a year
I am diabetic
And i am taking my insulin
