Hi there, are you a 'moody' personality or do you think its associated specifically with having diabetes? I imagine we ALL get moody having to deal with it at times. What do I do?, exercise is my go to. x

I've read that high blood glucose levels can affect one's emotions. Some people get depressed, some get a bit tetchy. From my own experience, I was like a bear with a sore head for a long time prior to diagnosis.

Thankfully, with blood glucose levels under better control, I am feeling pretty chilled these days.

Drowsy & lazy when I’m high, snappy when I’m low. Exercise & good control all that usually goes away.

o_OApparently yes, worse with lows but I think I have always had short fuse, its just a part of wanting everything to be perfect

My temper and (in)tolerance went through the roof when I initially suffered my Type 1 symptoms - it was only once I had my BG levels under control that was I able to identify that these were side effects of too high BG levels. I cringe thinking about what I put family and friends through until I fully understood how BG levels can impact emotional levels. :sorry:
