I went to the GP yesterday to ask for a referral for a physiotherapist, expecting to be told to get off my lazy behind and exercise more.
Instead, I left with a referral to a reumathologist and a suspicion of having axSpA/Bechterews.
The waiting list for the rheumathologist will likely be some 3 months, so plenty of time to do the Google thing and of course ask on here. (Happy with the waiting list too, I'm not in a big hurry.)
Going through various guidelines on the internet, I think there is a fair chance of getting this diagnosis, I'm ticking quite a few boxes.
It also looks like the GP did a remarkably good job, apparently this possibility is often missed for years. Even more remarkable because I never saw her before and she also did the lose weight and stop smoking thing, but didn't blame my complaints on being fat or having diabetes, very refreshing.
So I don't have a specific question (yet), but would like to hear anything about it that might be relevant.
