Excited and a little nervous

Hi... I'm new I've had type 1 for 3 years now and I have always browsed on the forum to look for advise but have only just signed up. Even though I know none of you personally I feel like there's some sort of connection/ bond between you all because you all have this in common. So I thought I would write because I have hit a wall at this point and felt like I needed some one I could talk to who would understand exactly what I mean, because family and friends can only try to understand how ever I don't have anyone to talk to who has actually got it to fully understand where I'm coming from.

Hi, I can't believe you've all nailed it straight away exactly how I feel, yeah I am over the dread of having diabetes but living with it has kicked in, I think because of the last 3 years have just been a whirl wind really because I started on injections my background was Lantus to start with which it turned out I was allergic to which I find really amusing then levemir then after about 1 1/2 years I went onto the combo pump so had to learn all that then when I've just got used to reloading that and smacking the hell out of it to get the bubbles out of the insulin I get the new insight pump which is great no more paddys changing the insulin the handset can be annoying but I like it it's now just the fact of my life living with it. I am lucky that my nurses like me and let me have a trial of the new free style libre, which btw is fantastic especially if your on injections my family and friends used to laugh because I'd say it was like being a self check out at Tescos haha and as for the meets ups I would love to go to one if there was one nearer because I live up north.
