Exercise is shown to reduce insulin resistance.
However, I cannot find any useful information regarding the amount of exercise needed.
I currently walk for 30 minutes at a speed of 6km/h on a treadmill every day.

Does anyone have any data regarding exercise?

Many thank, Jassi

forgive me if im wrong but I didnt think there was a direct link as such with excercise reducing insulin resistance.
however excercise can lower blood glucose levels at the time of excercise.
excercise can aid weight loss which can reduce insulin resistance if you are overweight.
sorry this post is not much help but at least my replt will bump it back up to the top maybe other forum members might have something more constructive to add.

Forgive the unscientific explanation here, and it is late but no doubt one of our more educated members will be along to correct me - I was told that exercise will help lower BG in two ways
1. it uses up BG as you do exercise
2.exercise builds up muscle and muscle is more effective in utilising BG than other tissues so you lower your levels

plus of course if it aids weight loss that helps too.
