:rolleyes:So when should I multiwave? When should I have extended bolous? I've tried a few things but not sure I'm getting it right. Any advice would be great.

Read the book Pumping Insulin as it has some great information and advice on using the bolus features of insulin pumps and what sort of meals they are ideal for using.

I use the multi-wave/dual-wave option quite a bit, it's great for dealing with problematic meals like those that are high in fat.

Anything high in fat requires extended boluses (or multiwave if its meal that contain carbs and high fat). Its a bit trial and error but the starting point can be adapted from Ewa Pankowska's method. Divide number of calories from fat and protein by 100 and add 1 (or 2 if its really high fat). That will give you number of hours your bolus should be extended for.
