Eye screening

I went to my eye screening appointment last Saturday but it wasn’t the normal appointment I have. My eyes weren’t photographed instead it was an eye slit lamp screening according to the results letter. Is this a new way of doing it? Thanks

Hi I went for a retinopathy check , prior to having both my cataracts done ! I received a letter saying that due to the photos taken not being good enough ( due to my cataracts at the time) I had to go for a slit screen test which was basically drops to dilate pupils and having the backs of my eyes looked at through optical lenses.
not Sure if this is the reason in your case but was in mine , have since had both cataracts done what a difference
