Just reminiscing about the crazy days of Glam rock So many to remember T Rex Wizard Slade Mud Rubettes Sweet Gary Glitter The Glitter Band Roxy Music Suzi Quattro Alvin Stardust Plus many others no doubt My faves were Sweet and I liked their no 1 single ‘Blockbuster’ So come on what did you like?
Oh so there with you @Cumberland loved all of those. Saw Showaddywaddy at the Ice House in Grimsby many years ago. Hubby saw Glitterband and sailor at Leicester uni. I used to play Blockbuster on the way to work in the 2000s very loud, singing at the top of my voice. Got me in the mood for a day with 30 7 year olds! We have a 70s play list which we play on a Friday lunch. All of the above feature.
I still like Slade, I have a couple of their albums streaming from Amazon Prime Music. Noddy Holder rocks.
I was a big Sweet fan, I was going to marry Brian Connolly, (I used to write his name down on my school books) but I went off him when a school friend told me he chatted up her older sister and asked her out at a show, and found out he was married !!! I was heartbroken and so disappointed too Liked Roxy Music too.
Happy Teenage dreams. I used to go to Woolworths, with my school friends and listen to the new songs from TOTP, or the radio, especially Radio Luxemburg, buy the record and play it on my older brother's record player, time, after time, after time, then the B side and back again. I bet my mum was fed up with it lol
I just started listening to Sweet on YouTube, took me back to my teenage years, lovely. ps Brian Connolly still gorgeous, front and back
