Cannot tolerate statins and have tried them all ,severe aching leg muscles stop my walking and so sugar levels rise. Two years ago I had bypass op and so need to reduce chol especially trigs .Had check up with cardiologist Friday and he prescribed Fenofibrates ,asked pharmacist if it would give me stomach probs etc she said they wont but just read the pack info and nausea vomiting muscle pain are rated as common so am I going to be any bettter on these also read usa banned them as carcinogenic so please anyone take them and are they better than statins
