I was diagnosed on new years eve with hba1c of 9.6. Prescribed metformin but couldnt tolerate it so trying to control with diet for the time being. I have been low carbing for two months with really good results of 4.2 - 6.8mmol.

At the beginning of march i started to feel a bit depressed about everything. I just wanted to eat something 'normal'.

My DN told me I was being to hard on myself and that I should have a treat every now and again. So I did.

The only problem is that I went off the rails for two weeks. I had two slices of cheesecake, pizza, fish and chips and chinese.

I am hoping that this wont have a massive impact on my hba1c which is due in one weeks time.

I feel really disappointed with myself because I was doing so well. I lost 2st but Ive been stuck at the same weight for two weeks. Need some motivation to get me back on the straight and narrow.
