Ha ha, they can't say that the HbA1c of 70 was erroneous as it was a recheck of one the week before that was 67!You are doing SO well!!!
Wow, 2 and a half stones AND huge reduction in BG - that is really wonderful.
At some point, some one is bounce to say that there must have been an error on the first HbA1c or that all this amazing improvement is by you following their lifestyle advice.

And what do we expect if most of us hide LCHF from our GPS, we are all guilty of stopping our GPs leaning from us.
Great results very well done indeed! such a shame your doc didn't ask you how you did it.. maybe because he realises it can't possibly be by following NHS advice..So I had my first review with my own GP since diagnosis at the beginning of May. (I only saw another GP in the practise on diagnosis as I was squeezed in at short notice).
He immediate noticed I'd lost weight (2 1/2 stone to be exact!) and was pretty gobsmaked at my reduction in HbA1c from 70 to 45. He kept referring to my 'life style' changes but didn't ask what they were and I must admit I chickened out of mentioning low carb dieting! I did mention that I was self monitoring and he kind of glossed over that! My BP wasn't good enough to reduce those meds, I think I was a bit excited! He did mention statins but I said I wanted to see what happened between now and next tests which he was more than happy with. So I have to return in 10 weeks for repeat bloods and another review. I actually can't wait! I can't believe I actually like going to the Drs now!
I know, and I really wanted to say something, as I agree with you completely. I shall come clean next time for the greater good, I promise. And what do we expect if most of us hide LCHF from our GPS, we are all guilty of stopping our GPs leaning from us.
