I was diagnosed with Type 2 5 months ago and working hard to reduce weight (which is working well) i have been given another 2 months before a decision is taken to put me on medication!. My issue is that since i have cut out all sugars i have had really bad problems of bad breadth, despite seeing the dentist who tells me everything is ok with teeth and gums. Is this normal and how can i address this problem, which is becoming socially bad

Hi Mick, and welcome to the forum.
The bad breath may be caused by ketones if you have been cutting down on carb intake a lot. This is not a bad thing as it means your body is burning fat and therefore losing weight. It is unpleasant to taste however.

Not sure I know the answer to that one,No point chewing gum ,perhaps a mouth wash? just make sure it is sugar free.
