Is there a chart somewhere that shows recommended fasting and non-fasting blood sugar by age for diabetics? It would also be great if it defined "fasting".

I did a search and found a lot of charts, they varied quite a bit and most were incomplete. I would find it very helpful to have a chart something like this:

I just ballparked the numbers from several charts. Some values may be way off.

Is there a source that would allow me to create such a chart for various age groups?

Thanks

Forgive my ignorance, but why would the numbers be different by age?

The huge variation in diabetic readings based on diet, beta cell function & varying insulin resistance would make it impossible to chart.
We now know that a non-diabetic population have an average daily glucose of 5.6(99), an A1c of 32(5.1%) & only spend 30 mins a day above 7.8(140) .
In the 60+ age bracket that increases to 60 mins a day.

The job of a diabetic to to stay as close to normal as possible.
Read the blood sugar 101 website to learn how normal is desirable to limit complications.

A nice colourful chart telling you 10(180) is good 2 hours after eating is simplistic & dangerous.
These are my own views.
