I thought this was worth mentioning - it drew a tear to my eye.
This past week I was on vacation visiting my father and spent some time going thru all my mother's things - she passed away 14 years ago of cancer. And one of the things I found were a whole bunch of "Get Well Soon" cards that were sent to me in 1967 when I was in hospital (after being diagnosed with Type1). It was the first time (I think) that I actually saw them - mind you I was 4 when diagnosed so maybe I did see them but simply did not make an impression because of my age and recovery.
So I read thru all 40 cards - written by relatives that have since passed away of old age. It was special and I'm glad my mother didn't throw them out. Funny how something designed to comfort me 51 years ago is kind of doing that now.
Cheers!
