Carrots, parsnips, beans and pulses. People who don't get to the point!
A report in the local paper tonight saying that performance related payment scheme for GP's has not benefitted Diabetes Patients as promised. Research by B'ham University showed that financial rewards given to sugeries acheiveing targets around the Quality and Outcomes Framework had not resulted in better management of diabetes patients. And the performance related scheme focussed too much on targets rather than quality of care.

LOL we could have told them that!! :x

It's more how much money can we make out of patients rather than are we listening to them and providing the best care. Or am I just being cynical - no, surely not!
