Yes, you have to use fairly fresh almonds to ensure they have not dried out, but that is all there is in there. Its very easy to make your own peanut butter too, just pop unsalted peanuts in the blender and whizz away till you get the consistency you want.

Well, well, well... that changes a lot! I love almond butter (more than peanut butter!) so will be trying this :D thank you

Sadly not the case if you blitz almonds you get almond flour but take it too far and you get a gloopy mess not Almond butter, I would guess the same is true of peanuts too but have not tried it.

To make almond butter or peanut butter you need errrrr, butter!!
 
Correction for peanut butter apparently you dont need butter just peanuts roasted peanut or vegetable oil and salt and sugar to taste.
