Hanadr - RIP

Many of you will remember Hana,with encouragement for diabetes control from her LCHF diet & 8000 posts.

I had the pleasure of meeting her on 3 occasions, near her home in Reading, at research project meeting & the Hounslow Cardio/Diabetes support group. We have spoken on the phone from time to time.

Her daughter got in touch with me as one of Hana's facebook friends with the sad message:

Hi, I noticed you on mums Feb page and wasn't sure of your connection to her so equally not sure if you had heard the news. Mum sadly passed away last Sunday. She was taken into hospital at the end of July with a serious relapse in the myeloma. She just deteriorated from there and lost her battle last week. I am trying hard to let all her friends and acquaintances know. She was an amazing lady who seems to have touched the lives of many. Jo X

So sorry to hear of her death. We have spoken by phone a few times, so I knew she was ill. She was an encouragement to many on the forum, Should I inform the forum of her death?

Yes please do share the news. She would want people to know. Dad and I are both numb and just taking each day as it comes. It all happened so fast we are still adjusting. Jo​

Oh, I'm so very sorry to hear this. I was only thinking of her this morning because my mother suffered from myeloma too, so I often thought of Hana. I enjoyed her posts and will miss her.

Sad news, she was a very knowledgeable lady and always polite in her approach, my condolences to her family and friends. I too was thinking about her a few days ago and how she was a miss on here RIP Hana

I remember her from when I first joined the forum although I didn't really know her - but it's so sad that one of our members has finally lost their battle.

I hope perhaps that her daughter might read the tributes here and take some comfort from the fact that her mother was so well respected by other forum members.

Like many others, I remember her from when I first joined this forum. She was always so pleasant and helpful and had some fantastic recipes which she passed on .

I recall hana sharing about her battle with health , she sounded so positive .
