Harmine - 'drives human insulin-producing beta cells to multiply'

interesting find @Misteraa, there are a many cultures with different approaches to health and wellbeing that the modern pharmos ignore this one looks as though it has already been used in religious rights for centuries, so it has to be psychoactive, lots of references to gods and soma, deep stuff that would be lost on most western civilizations, most are more interested in the ££$$$ than the expansion of the consciousness. looks like some studies are trying to separate the molecular structure to patent it but that is typical of the money grabbing structure of modern medicine.

Nice to see it was funded by jdrf, a great charity doing some great work.

That's really interesting. Personally I think I would prefer them to look at separating the part that seems helpful to beta cell regeneration and get rid of the psychoactive effects.

I'd want to be sure that the "growth" of beta cells wasn't pathological. Hasn't that been an issue for some of the current drugs that are meant to cause beta cell regeneration?
