I’ve been having elevated FBG levels for over a month and they are continuing to rise. I recently had to fast for 3 days and my blood glucose never dropped below 5! Today my FBG was 6.3 and I’m struggling to understand. My doctor was reassured I don’t have diabetes because my HBA1C test came back at 33 but I’m still not happy with my glucose levels.
Fasting blood of 5 are completely normal for someone without diabetes, an odd one of 6.3 which is on the lower end of pre diabetes doesn’t really mean anything, Hba1c are not classed as positive and negative but are graded on a scale, aHba1c of 33 is nowhere near diabetes and completely normal for a none diabetic. I agree with your doctor you are worrying about nothing.

Fasting, as the name suggests, means refraining from eating of drinking any liquids other than water for eight hours. It is used as a test for diabetes.
How low do you think they should be? 4 & below is considered to be hypo territory, people using insulin are breaking the law if they drive with levels below 5.
There are lots of things in life to worry about, but for you at the moment, diabetes is not one of them.
